The 2021 Maryland Arts Education Festival
The 2021 Maryland Arts Education Festival will be a virtual celebration featuring artwork and performances from Maryland grades 6-12 students in creative writing, dance, instrumental music, media art, theatre, visual art, and vocal music. Students may apply independently as solo or ensembles, or may be submitted by their teacher or community arts leader.

Two-Day COLLABORATIVE SONGWRITING Workshop
Day 1: Take in the history and development of the method, the different stages of the process, and its significance to Latinx communities.
Day 2: Experience the method as a participant! Compose an original song in two hours.

The Anti-Racist Educators of the Arts Learning Lab (A-REALL) is a debut professional learning community of Maryland arts educators, arts integration instructors, and teaching artists committed to integrating anti-racism in creative classrooms.
Caroline County Public Schools: 5th Graders Learn The Ins & Outs Of Movie Trailer Music Production
Earlier this month, 5th graders from Caroline County Public Schools attended virtual assemblies with Brent Daniels, a music producer for Hollywood movie trailers. The virtual sessions brought students into Mr. Daniels' New York music studio where they got to see and hear the process of composing songs for movie trailers. Mr. Daniels has composed scores for Marvel Studios, Disney Studios, HBO, Netflix, and more
