Maryland Arts Education Festival

On April 16, 2021 the Fine Arts Office of the Maryland Department of Education hosted the 4th Annual Maryland Arts Education Festival, drawing in over 800 students, parents, and educators from across the great state of Maryland. This one-day virtual student exhibition featured select solo artists and small ensembles from Maryland representing 18 local school systems, as well as one-hour student Masterclasses with expert artist facilitators

MARYLAND STATE ARTS COUNCIL ANNOUNCES
2021 INDEPENDENT ARTS AWARD RECIPIENTS

The Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) announced that $266,000 has been awarded to 66 Maryland artists through the 2021 Independent Artist Awards (IAA). With this year’s awards focused on visual and media arts, 2021 awardees represent a wide range of artistic talents from all across the state, from painting, ceramics, and works on paper to digital media, film, and installation.
