Maryland Centers for Creative Classrooms (MC3) is presenting Passport, the summer series of free fine arts professional learning opportunities! Arts integration and arts education hybrid pathways are available in all fine arts disciplines; virtual offerings include a stage makeup session and two new Maryland Micro-Credentials for Creative Classrooms (mcreds) courses.
The hybrid Arts Education Studio meets July 12 - July 14, with the session on July 13th at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. The hybrid Arts Integration Studio meets July 12 and July 13, with July 13's session at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. 1 CPD credit is available upon successful completion of each course. The two mcreds virtual courses are limited to 24 participants, so those interested must apply; ideally, there will be one participant from each LEA. The mcreds courses are "Arts Education through a Trauma-Informed Lens" and "Arts Integration." Each mcreds course will award 1 CPD credit for successful completion.
Finally, there will be a one-hour virtual workshop on creating cuts and bruises with stage makeup. A materials list will be provided to all participants and they will go through each step of the process with makeup artists, the Jokesters. This course is presented by the Hippodrome Foundation, Inc.
