The first Maryland Masterclass Series workshop offered a two-day professional development training for Maryland’s music educators and community musicians with all sessions led by Grammy Award-winning, international gospel artist Donald Lawrence.

The culminating two-hour community concert titled Donald Lawrence: In Concert featured performances by the Prince George’s County Gospel Choir – comprised of students from four PGCPS high schools, Danton Whitley & Mosaic Sounds, and an hour-long performance by the 160-singer workshop chorus comprised of participants from 12 Maryland local school systems.
