2018-2019 student exhibition accomplishments

 

Best of Maryland Arts Education Festival

In partnership with the Office of First Lady Yumi Hogan, the Maryland State Arts Council, the Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance, Mount Vernon Place Conservancy and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts hosted the 2nd Annual Best of Maryland Arts Education Festival. The festival was hosted in fine art venues throughout Baltimore City’s historic Mount Vernon district and featured performances from students and small ensembles from Maryland’s local school systems. Music, visual arts, dance, theatre, and media ares were represented, with student exhibitions ranging from musical theatre, to tap dance, to painting and film.

MSDE Galleries, MSAC, and Treasury Exhibitions

MSDE Board Room & Baltimore Street Gallery

200+ pieces of student artwork exhibited throughout the State at galleries, including the First Lady’s Gallery at the House of Delegates, Maryland State Arts Council gallery, Treasury Building gallery, and at the MSDE offices.

Maryland State Arts Council

Up to 24 pieces of student artwork displayed biannually.

Treasury Building

Up to 72 pieces of student artwork displayed biannually.


First Lady’s Gallery and Awards Ceremony

Each First Lady exhibition features 48 pieces – 2 submissions from each local school system.
